Living as Light in the City

Practically Living Out Our Faith
Transformation is a word we use a lot in this ministry. It is the Lord’s work, not just changing people but literally transforming them into Jesus’ likeness day by day. This is not a ministry of perfection; it is a ministry of honesty and of acceptance and purpose. Prodigal is for everyone and especially for those who are isolated and encumbered by life and circumstances.
Part of this transformation process is learning to serve one another and the community in which we live. We learn together to protect and sacrifice for one another, your family, your community, and your church. Sure, this is hard work; what worthwhile in this life is not? The results of this hard work are relationships of depth and trust, friends on this pilgrim journey bonded together in the struggle for what is right, pure, and true.
Service Projects
Boat Building
Funding for Prodigal Men’s Ministries comes primarily from the selling of boats that are donated to the ministry. We then refurbish the boat and sell it and the buyer can then receive a tax-deductible receipt for the cost of the boat since Prodigal Men’s Ministries is a Federally recognized 501(c) 3 charitable organization. Funds are used for the administration of the ministry and to fund the outreaches and service projects. Prodigal Men’s Ministries has no paid staff, all are volunteers.
Have a Boat to Donate?
We’re always looking for new boats to fund out ministry and our community projects. If you have a boat you’d like to donate, let us know.
I have a boat
“Working on fixing up the boats donated to Prodigal is a great way to bless the ministry and one another. The brotherhood created by working on a project together is amazing! With the funds from selling the boats we are able to help so many others in need and help create opportunities for a better life.”
